Villa Finnature Guesthouse

Finnature’s headquarters is located at Villa Finnature Guesthouse in Muhos near Oulu. Here are our office and our guesthouse where groups can stay comfortably in the middle of countryside. Indeed, the Villa is surrounded by forests and fields.

Villa Finnature was opened in 2019 for small groups attending to our photography tours. The Villa has six comfortable, nature-themed single or twin rooms. In total we can accommodate up to 10 persons. Rooms are equipped with comfortable beds and the Villa features shared toilet facilities. There are two showers with a toilet and two separate toilets at use. An attractive lounge with welcoming sofas and a baking oven provides warm atmosphere in the evenings. Joint dining room with big dining table is perfect for get-togethers.

Guests can enjoy free WIFI, freeview TV and hairdryers. Villa Finnature Guesthouse is non-smoking.

We pay a lot of attention to ecological sustainability in the Villa. For example, we have kept many of the movables from the previous house owner. Previously, the house acted as a children’s home. A lot of the material at Villa Finnature is recycled, and our heating meets the standards with air-source heating pumps downstairs and a pellet fireplace upstairs. Pellets are a side product of wood industry. Also, garbage is recycled.

We have designed Villa Finnature with especially photographers in mind. The Villa is decorated by beautiful nature photographs taken by Finnature’s owners Jari and Kaisa Peltomäki. Also, rooms are equipped with extension cords so that everyone has enough power for charging many devices, and bookshelves are stocked with books related to photography and natural history. But most importantly, we have built a photography hide attached to the main house where guests are welcome to photograph garden birds and Red Squirrels visiting our busy bird feeding stations. Bird species visiting here include Willow Tit, Great Tit, Blue Tit, Greenfinch, Yellowhammer, Great-spotted Woodpecker and Eurasian Jay.

Meals at Villa Finnature Guesthouse

From the moment you arrive you are made to feel at home. Groups eat together in the Villa’s dining room where our chef and housekeeper cooks delicious dinners prepared with skill and warmth. We offer a wide selection of tasty Finnish food, bought and produced locally where possible. Special dietary needs are well taken care of.

A plentiful breakfast is served in Villa and for a day out we provide tasty picnic lunch.
