Autumn is a great time in Finland! Young ones are coming to feeders and autumn colours are beautiful. This self-drive tour includes the mystical Eagle Owl and the majestic Golden Eagle photography in Oulu region. Visit our great hides and explore the Finnish nature on your own!

Birds of Prey in Oulu region, 3 days

The highlights of this self-drive photography tour are Golden Eagle, Eagle Owl and Goshawk. In autumn, our Golden Eagle hides offer a special photo target: Sparrowhawks chasing Eurasian Jays – they are fast and fun to photograph while waiting for Eagles! Other possible raptors include White-tailed Eagle. This tour includes one night in our Forest feeder hide for Eagle Owl and Goshawk, and one day in our Golden Eagle hide. Duration of this tour is 3 days.

Black Grouse Lek and Golden Eagles
15th – 31st March and 15th September – 15th October
This self-drive photography tour combines Black Grouse lek and Golden Eagle photography. The activity of both of these highlight species overlaps only for two weeks in spring and about a month in autumn. Depending on the weather the season can be longer. This tour includes two morning sessions in Black Grouse hide and two days in Golden Eagle hide. Duration of this tour is 2 days.

Black Grouse Lek and Eagle Owl

This self-drive photography tour combines Black Grouse lek and Eagle Owl photography. This tour includes one morning session in Black Grouse hide and one night in our Forest feeder hide for Eagle Owl. Duration of this tour is 2 days.

Ruff and Eagle Owl

This tour combines the delightful Ruff and the mystical Eagle Owl photography in Liminka. Tour includes 4 photography sessions at Ruff hides (2 mornings and 2 evenings) and one night in our Forest feeder hide for Eagle Owl. Duration of this tour is 4 days.

What does a self-drive photography tour include?
Self-drive photography tours include hide sessions for some of the most interesting birds in Finland. Accommodation and transportation are not included in the price and we do not make bookings for those – but we will provide hotel and car rental recommendations.
